Man is playing Trixie so much fun!
12/27/12

(You see Ugly Bristle.)
> A lanky and tall unicorn colt, bone-white. Usually found in a cape, it can be sometimes hard to spot his cutie mark -- a musical staff and bars of music, curled into a tight spiral. His mane and tail are both long and black, his left eye yellow, his right a very pale blue. A soft red glow can be observed around his horn -- even when just what he is doing magic on is not evident. Oh -- and he has possibly the worst name in all Equestria.

(You see Trixie Lulamoon.)
> THE GREAT AND POWERFUL TRIXIE

Ugly Bristle stood, half immersed in a stream -- an eerie figure in an eerie setting, mist weaving through the trees and stones. He looked... odd, to say the least, practicing some magic or other on the water. What he was trying to accomplish was anypony's guess; perhaps he meant to lift and shape it, or divert it, or purify it. His figure was indistinct, save the red glow of his horn in the ist.

Trixie Lulamoon trotted along through the Everfree Forest, her old magic stage and still current home creaking as it followed along. The light-blue pony stomped trough rivers and trampled over flowers, still huffy after being humiliated once again in another town. "These ponies, do they not know who I am? I am The Great and Powerful Trixie!" She shouted, unaware of the figure by the stream of which she had decided to pose and scream on an angered whim.

Ugly Bristle's ears perked and then pinned. Strange ponies shouting and ramblimg about their identities... not good, surely. Certainly not a good sign. His horn stopped glowing for merely a second, then resumed, and he stepped from the stream. Water dripped from him, and cautiously the unicorn approached Trixie. He did not say anything, but crept closer, mismatched eyes curious but cautious.

Trixie Lulamoon had thought she heard something, perhaps the sound of water? "Well of course! The Great and Powerful Trixie is near a stream, after all." She shrugged it off, but turned around anyway, in case it was someone else come to laugh at her constant defeats. When she saw what she assumed was another pony, not that she could tell in this forest, nor did she entirely care, she held her ground, lifting her chin up as if she were automatically superior. "Have you, too, come to point and laugh at the Great and Powerful Trixie?" She asked. She then sharply turned her head away. "I don't care." She huffed.

Ugly Bristle looked positively offended. What, he, come to point and laugh? "I've never heard of ... The Great and Powerful Trixie. Why would I laugh at you?" He stepped much closer, now he didn't anticipate an attack from a madpony. "What on earth do you have there?" He referred to her stage trailing behind, of course. The unicorn looked fairly ordinary, if tall and thin and with mismatched eyes; but far too comfortable in the Everfree.

Trixie Lulamoon glanced back at the other pony and grinned. "Oh really now?" She then looked over to her trailer. "That? Why don't I show you!" :she then used her magic, horn glowing grayish magenta as her stage quickly unfolded. The light-blue unicorn then hopped up on the stage, using her magic to create fireworks and make pinwheels spin. "This is the stage for the magic show featuring The Great and Powerful Trixie!" She declared, posing dramatically.

Ugly Bristle had now officially decided that this unicorn is completely insane. Nervously he clapped, quietly. "Uhm... It's best not to set off anything that... loud here. Dangerous things live in these woods..." His head was down, ears pinned, but despite the anxious expression on his face, Ugly was trying to be nice.

Trixie Lulamoon grinned wide and stuck her nose up into the air. "The Great and Powerful Trixie can take on anything this mucky, old forest has to dish out!" She cackled. "The Great and Powerful Trixie even defeated a Manticore once." She boasted, more likely than not lying once again. "The Great and Powerful Trixie is all powerful!" She jumped into the air and then posed standing with her hooves in the air.

Ugly Bristle winced, seeming to shrink into the dirt. The Great and Powerful Trixie was going to get him killed! "The Great and Powerful Trixie is loud... if you're all-powerful, why do people laugh at you, then?" He remained very quiet, and in fact was edging towards the trees, eyes darting around for some horrible creature that was sure to appear.

Trixie Lulamoon shut down the fireworks and stopped the pinwheels. She then hopped off the stage and packed up the trailer. " I had a run in with a... Certain, purple unicorn. She humiliated me. So now The Great and Powerful Trixie is setting out in search of newer, more powerful magic!" She snorted a little. "That Twilight Sparkle will rue the day she messed with the Great and Powerful Trixie!"

Ugly Bristle stares. And he is usually more aware of stares than other ponies. He's just... baffled. "Uhmm... I don't... know who that is. She's at least as obscure as you, if that's any relief... why are you referring to yourself in third person?" The question had been burning at him. His horn still blazed red.

Trixie Lulamoon quickly turned on the other unicorn, her eyes burning purple, her horn sparking in frustration. "I AM OBSCURE!? THE GREAT AND POWERFUL TRIXIE? I AM THE UNICORN EVERYPONY WISHES THEY COULD BE! THAT TWILIGHT SPARKLE IS VERY MUCH A NOPONY, BUT I AM THE GREAT AND POWERFUL TRIXIE! I AM KNOWN THROUGHT ALL OF EQUESTRIA!! YOU JUST LIVE UNDER A ROCK! AND I HATE ROCKS!" The female unicorn screamed at him, obviously insecure about herself. "WHO IN THE GREAT PRINCESS LUNA'S NAME DO YOU THINK YOU ARE!?!" She screetched.

Ugly Bristle leapt back, mismatched eyes going wide in horror. His ears were utterly flattened, hidden within his long and somewhat messy black mane. Just what on earth he was doing magic on was unclear; the red glow of his horn never faltered. He took a few moments to gather himself, but when he did, he glared, trotting right up to Trixie. "I'm Ugly Bristle." He said the name with no pride and much anger. "And I am not a student of magic. I'm an inventor."

Trixie Lulamoon glanced up and down Ugly with great disgust and and lifted one of her front hooves away. "Ugly is right." Spat the annoying unicorn, probably more annoyed at him than disgusted. "The Great and Powerful Trixie does not know of you, nor does she care to." She snapped her head away and closed her eyes, as if trying to prove even more that she thought she was elite. "By the way, The Great and Powerful Trixie speakes in third person because it proves that The Great and Powerful Trixie truly is great and powerful!"

Ugly Bristle gritted his teeth. There was a reason he didn't like his name getting out. "Trust me, you haven't seen Ugly," he hissed. No dangerous creatures seemed to have been drawn yet... good, he had an opportunity for his anger to go somewhere. "The great and powerful never have to tell others what they are to be recognized! You're a fraud." Angrily, he turned -- kicking dirt behind him and trotting away, scowling.

Trixie Lulamoon slammed her front hooves down, digging them into the dirt. "I AM NOT A FRAUD!!" She screamed after him. With that, she huffed, hitched back on her trailer, and started off in the other direction. "Who cares about some Ugly, Everfree nopony anyways? I should be touring Equestria, not talking to some freakpony in a forest!"

Ugly Bristle froze, mismatched eyes narrowing dangerously. His horn flickered like a light hooked up to a poor current. He seemed to flicker as well... He growled, low, and deep, voice seeming to cover the ground much like the fog or the cloak on his back. "What did you call me."

Trixie Lulamoon snorted and turned back. "You heard The Great and Powerful Trixie. You're an Ugly, Everfree nopony. A freakpony." She spat out the last word as if it were a disgusting taste in her mouth. She sneered at the seemingly annoyed unicorn, as if some idiotic plan in her head was starting to work.

Ugly Bristle's teeth were all visible, bared in anger. When she repeated the term that upset him so much, he sort of... lost his cool. "You don't even KNOW me, you haven't even SEEN me! What right do you have? Get out." He paused, only a second, then shoved his face right in her face, and screamed. "GET OOOUUUUT!" His red-glowing horn flickered, and with it came what seemed to be horrible visions flickering for mere fractions of seconds... easy to wrest from the forest. In these flickers, it was almost as if, right in front of her, there were a horrible monster only vaguely of pony-shape, with a mangled, flesh-patched skull.

Trixie Lulamoon's pupils shrank and she immediately turned to flee. As she quickly galloped away, her trailer would fly into the air as it hit rocks and crevices, pulling her back a little before she would keep going. She didn't dare look back, no lies or boasting could help her with whatever seemed to be back there. The light-blue unicorn wouldn't stop running until she was clear out of the Everfree Forest, and away from whatever kind of creature that 'pretend pony' was.

Ugly Bristle's voice would follow Trixie for a time -- in ghostly hisses and echoed roars that rose from the mist. Whatever he was, he did not seem ponykind, or for that matter, mortal... yes, for now, staying clear of the Everfree seemed the best idea.
